We live in a world of images and global standards. We tend to think, that through looking at a map, a photo, watching a film, reading an article, or spending one week at a place is enough to understand a culture or a place. However, we must be aware of the fact that these mediums and events are always affected by our cultural and personal backgrounds. Designing a remote hideout hut in a Vine Retreat in Cambodia is a tricky task for someone who has never been there, hence has no idea about the context of the desired object. By creating this small and modest cabin we tried to confront the above mentioned things and our standards of living.
